Baseline’s designed to have more pollinators living here when the community is complete than when the developer first broke ground. To track our progress toward this goal, Butterfly Pavilion counts the number of pollinators here each summer.
This Sunday
BP’s Horticulture Director, Amy Yarger, will be here to do a count. She’ll have on a bright yellow vest and big hat. Feel free to ask her questions or just say ‘hi.’
This Summer
You can help her with the count now through September. Here’s how: be on the lookout for pollinators at Baseline when you walk your dog or hang out at a park. When you see one (a bee, fly, moth, hummingbird, bat, or butterfly), take a picture and upload it to our iNaturalist site, Baseline Pollinators.
