Connect in Checker Square

Our September Connect at Checker Square has a few twists. We will serve up doughnuts and coffee earlier (starting at 8:30 a.m) and move to the Basin at 9 a.m. to plant wildflowers.

Bring work gloves, a shovel and a water bottle. We’ll work side by side with experts from High Plains Environmental Center (HPEC) to add color and beauty to the Basin. This is a great opportunity to ask questions about your own garden and learn from professionals. If you don’t have a shovel or gloves, no worries. HPEC will have some to borrow. Community Life will provide refreshments and sandwiches for all volunteers.
