Butterfly Pavilion
Reason for not moving to Baseline: Butterfly Pavilion is stabilizing after staffing changes and economy shifts.
McWhinney is still fully committed to Baseline’s vision of the pollinator district.
Butterfly Pavilion is still a pivotal partner, through Design Review Committee, annual pollinator surveys, pollinator education and community engagement.
Buzz
Revisiting plan and exploring new location possibilities – beer garden, dog park, community gardens still part of plan.
May move STEM school to former Butterfly Pavilion site, and Buzz to STEM site to make location financially viable for food and beverage provider .
Center Street
Plans submitted to city for approval; multiple rounds of review anticipated .
Jan. 20, 2026 – Anticipated City Council Meeting for final approval of phase 1 vertical plans
Rally Park
- Intended to be a regional park.

Infrastructure
West Village
City and County of Broomfield actively walking streets for final acceptance, location for repairs are being marked
All streets will require seal coat and restriping before final acceptance is complete, dates to be shared in future newsletter(s).

Center Street
Going through City approval process; horizontal construction anticipated to commence Q1 of 2026 .
160th & Sheridan
Concrete ~90% of paving complete, delays due to utility conflicts
Paving resumes after May 22, per request of the city (due to Prospect Ridge traffic)
Full 7-day closure of intersection in May to finish intersection roadwork (watch for newsletter for details)
Post-closure – work on median improvements (6 weeks)

West Village, Phase 2 |
Late 2023 – early 2024
- Incorrect seed mix applied (label correct, contents were not; all seed used on the project goes through a field review check)
- Additive seed was in mix, Perennial Rye mix grass overtook native grass.
- Grasses removed and reseeded with correct mix in late 2024.
- Early 2025- Reseeding will occur, and sparsely covered areas will be treated as they are noted
- Homebuilder construction completed Jan. 2025, so native grasses in these areas can now be seeded
- Builder agreed to repair irrigation damage and grading issues, work tentatively set for first week of May
- New landscape vendor, Environmental Designs, Inc., aerating, reseeding and composting all native areas, scheduled for the week of April 18 – 25 (ideal timing).
Community Clean Up
- New landscape crew providing weekly litter pick up in West Village
- Spot cleanups will occur after major wind events.
- Resident-involved Community Clean Up happening April 26.
